  • 7-zip

    Dealing with compressed files can be a frustrating exercise in finding the right software for the right software for the right file type.

    7-zip is software made for Microsoft Windows primarily to compress and decompress files and directories (folders) in the 7-zip and zip format, but can decompress many other formats including, frequently used, arj and rar.

  • Balloon Mapping

    Balloon Mapping is a project from Grassroots Mapping as part of a series of participatory mapping projects involving communities in cartographic dispute, started by Jeffrey Warren of the MIT Media Lab's Center for Future Civic Media. Seeking to invert the traditional power structure of cartography, the grassroots mappers used helium balloons and kites to loft their own community satellites made with inexpensive cameras.

  • Basecamp

    Basecamp is a project management tool for tracking website development, design or setting up convergent newsroom remotely. Basecamp tackles project management from an entirely different angle: a focus on communication and collaboration.  In a recent customer satisfaction survey, 98% of Basecamp customers surveyed said they would recommend Basecamp to their friends, family, and colleagues. Users can also manage Basecamp projects on mobile phone and iPad. Basecamp mobile is especially made for popular mobile devices like iPhone and Android. No apps are required to use it.
